Greencure landscaping collaborates in the development of MoLeCoLa, the winning project of the C40 Reinventing Cities competition on the Bovisa Interchange in Milan, which affects an abandoned space near the Trenord train station, intercepting the La Bovisa University Pole and its sorrounding neighborhood. <\/span><\/p>

The masterplan developed by the team led by Park Associati for an area of more than 90,000 square meters, is developed synergically with the other interventions in the area, dialogues with the Politecnico di Milano, and is an opportunity to stitch together the areas hitherto separated by the tracks of the Milano Nord Bovisa railway, redeveloping the railway station as the pulsing fulcrum of the renewed neighborhood.<\/span><\/p>

The Masterplan identifies in the new urban landscape of the Railway Interchange, the regenerative power to repair, transform and redefine spaces in which to share memories, meeting the Milanese neighborhood’s need for greenery.<\/span><\/p>

MoLeCoLa creates an \u201cidea-producing\u201d neighborhood and bases its functional mixit\u00e9<\/em> on three core principles: housing, production and interaction. Residences, student housing, commercial activities, coworking. The Ferrovie Nord headquarters are designed in an integrated way with the design of the public space, rich in equipped green areas. The landscape designed in this way meets the goal of zero CO2 emissions by 2050.<\/span><\/p>

About 60 percent of MoLeCoLa’s area will have permeable soil and solutions that meet the principle of climate resilience. <\/span><\/p>

Respect for plant development, massing backgrounds and free form shrubs, and building orientation will ensure thermal comfort by reducing the heat island.<\/span><\/p>

Green space will be found within the volumes, becoming an integral part of the buildings themselves: bioclimatic greenhouses, terraces, and rooftops as livable and communal cultivable spaces at height, capable of mitigating and regulating the climatic comfort of interior spaces.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
