The restoration of the Villa De Capoa Historical Park gives the city of Campobasso back one of its most significant green spaces, reinterpreting a historic garden as a contemporary space that is accessible and capable of responding to today’s environmental challenges. Greencure landscaping’s intervention began with a careful study of the original forms and botanical stratifications, maintaining the 19th-century geometric layout of the flowerbeds bordered by boxwood and enhancing the rich arboreal heritage that characterizes the garden, composed of large specimens of cypresses, cedars of Lebanon, red firs, and domestic pines.

The design focuses on the quality of the space, the continuity of the views, and the clarity of the paths. The historic paving has been restored, the paths have been redesigned using natural materials, and access improved to enhance usability. The vegetation has been treated as the narrative structure of the garden: contained green masses, new plantings consistent with the local botanical tradition, and calibrated additions that define sequences, environments, and resting places without altering the identity of the place.

The selection of species follows criteria of sustainability and climate adaptation, integrating historic herbaceous plants and small shrubs with new plantings capable of increasing biodiversity, microclimatic comfort, and resistance over time.
Within the park, spaces such as the herbarium, green rooms, and outdoor lounge have been created, along with more natural areas dedicated to observation and tranquility.

The result is a garden that recaptures its historic atmosphere without sacrificing its contemporary role: a public space that combines memory, greenery, and well-being, restoring Villa De Capoa to its central place in the city.
